WHEN DID CO2 BECOME A POLLUTANT?
Hello, Ken Baxter here, I’m back from space and coming to you from sunny, Las Vegas, NV with some stunning FACTS about CO2 that you won’t find in the mainstream media.
First, a little history about CO2 and how it has been demonized by the climate activist agenda. Early in the Obama administration, the EPA Administrator, Lisa P. Jackson, on December 9, 2009 signed, without evidence, an Endangerment Order, declaring CO2 a pollutant. She would resign her post three weeks later. I’ve noticed many decisions during the 8 year Obama Administration that made no sense, but this one was a whopper.
Jackson lit the fuse that sparked the “war on CO2” and the crazy policy decisions that have resulted in largest “money grab” in history, causing devastating effects on American jobs and our economy. For over a decade we have been bombarded with stories of the dangers of CO2 in our atmosphere, by journalists with little or no curiosity if these claims are actually TRUE. I wonder what happened to photosynthesis, is that still a thing? Below is the overview of CO2 verbatim from the EPA website, photosynthesis, as we all learned in grade school is still going strong.
“Carbon dioxide (CO2): Carbon dioxide enters the atmosphere through burning fossil fuels (coal, natural gas, and oil), solid waste, trees and other biological materials, and also as a result of certain chemical reactions (e.g., cement production). Carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere (or “sequestered”) when it is absorbed by plants as part of the biological carbon cycle.” EPA.gov
THIS IS A GAMECHANGER
"In units of volume, CO2’s concentration is typically presented as 400 parts per million (400 ppm). Translated, that’s just 0.04% of Earth’s atmosphere – the equivalent of 40 cents out of one thousand dollars, or 1.4 inches on a football field. Even atmospheric argon is 23 times more abundant: 9,300 ppm."
The graphic you see is a screenshot from EPA.gov, it shows that in 2021, CO2 was by far, the most plentiful of the green house gasses on our planet. As you can see in the above quote from this must see article above, it translates to 0.04% of the earth’s atmosphere and quite a bit of that is being removed by the earth’s vegetation. We are being deceived and swindled out of our nation’s wealth by the climate activist agenda for a cause that for all we know may be being funneled into a gigantic “slush fund” for the elites.
